Service held to mark 50th anniversary of Llay Main Colliery closure
A special service will be held today to mark the 50th anniversary since the closure of the Llay Main Colliery.
The memorial ceremony will include a church service and balloon release to commemorate the men's sacrifice.
Around eighty people were killed at the site with nine of them losing their lives on the same day in December 1924.
