Police arrest third man in £20,000 biscuit theft probe
Police have arrested a third person in their hunt for thieves who stole £20,000 worth of biscuits.
The theft of a trailer packed with biscuits from Burton's Foods, who make the Jammie Doddgers and Wagon Wheels, was from their factory in Cwmbran in Gwent.
Gwent Police say a 36 year-old man from the Liverpool area has been arrested on suspicion of theft and conspiracy to steal.
It follows the arrest of two others; a 27-year-old man from the Cheshire area and a 35-year-old man also from the Liverpool area.
The biscuit theft happened in June and the empty trailer was found in the Warrington area later the same day.
Gwent Police says further vehicles involved in the theft have been located and seized.
