Man arrested on suspicion of £20,000 biscuit theft
A second arrest has been made following the theft of a trailer containing around £20,000 worth of biscuits from Burton's Food Ltd on Ty Coch Way in Cwmbran.
A 27-year-old man from Cheshire has been arrested on suspicion of theft and conspiracy to steal, and released on police bail pending further enquiries.
A 35-year-old Liverpool man is also on police bail having been arrested on suspicion of theft.
The biscuits were stolen in the early hours of the 17th of June, before thieves abandoned the empty Burton's trailer later that day.
Burton's makes Jammie Dodgers, Wagon Wheels and Maryland cookies.
Police are continuing their enquiries into the theft.
