A number of explosives, believed to be from World War Two, have been found in Ardglass.

The discovery was made after they washed into the nets of a fishing boat on Saturday afternoon.

Police asked the public to avoid the harbour area in the Co Down fishing village while Army technical officers examined and removed the munitions.

The harbour area has since been reopened.
