RHI: The inquiry by the numbers
The Senate Chamber at Parliament Buildings, Stormont was converted to accommodate the RHI Inquiry hearings.
The first public sitting of the inquiry took place on Tuesday 7 November 2017. It’s final public hearing was on Friday 14 December 2018.

RHI Inquiry Team: Who are they?
The RHI Inquiry was set up in January 2017 by the then Stormont Finance Minister Máirtín Ó Muilleoir.
Sir Patrick Coglin
Sir Patrick Coghlin was appointed the inquiry chair. He is a retired member of the Court of Appeal in Northern Ireland.
Dame Una O’Brien
Dame Una O’Brien was appointed as a statutory inquiry panel member. She was the Permanent Secretary at the Department of Health in London from 2010-2016. She has also worked in the Cabinet Office and in the House of Commons as a researcher on Northern Ireland.
Dr Keith Maclean OBE
Dr Keith Maclean OBE was appointed as the technical adviser to the RHI Inquiry. Dr Maclean worked for more than 20 years in the energy industry up until 2014. He has advised the Scottish and UK Governments and has detailed knowledge of the processes involved in the development and implementation of energy policies.
