Quarry search begins for murdered Charlotte Murray
Searches have begun of a quarry in Benburb in Co Tyrone, carried out by police looking for the body of murder victim Charlotte Murray.
The 34-year-old vanished without a trace from the Moy seven years ago this weekend.
Last month, her ex-fiancé – 48-year-old John Miller, from Redford Park in Dungannon – was convicted of her murder.
He is due to be sentenced at the end of November.
On Saturday, Charlotte Murray’s family visited the nine metres deep quarry that has taken five days to drain in order for police and search teams to examine it fully for the first time.
They are desperately hoping to be able to bring their loved one’s body home and finally end their years of torment.
