Ulster’s Champions Cup campaign has been boosted by their 30-15 bonus point win over Scarlets at Kingspan Stadium in Belfast on Friday night.

A John Cooney penalty put Ulster on the scoreboard early on and they forged ahead to lead 10-3 at the break.

While the Scarlets fought their way back level, the hosts soon overcame them.

And, in the end, a brace of tries from Iain Henderson - plus one each from Jacob Stockdale and Cooney – saw Ulster power their way to the win.

Dan McFarland’s side sit tied on points with Racing 92 at the top of Pool 4, but Racing have played one game less.

Next up for Ulster though is a PRO14 clash with Munster on Friday 21 December at Kingspan.
