Schoolboy actor Art Parkinson has said it was an amazing experience to take his place among the stars of the big screen at the BAFTAs.

The Donegal teenager voiced the lead character in the animated adventure Kubo and the Two Strings.

UTV caught up with the 15-year-old star as he arrived back at Belfast City Airport on Monday evening.

And it seems Art still couldn't quite believe what had happened.

"It really was an amazing experience, whenever you put your heart and soul into a film and it gets such recognition it's a really great feeling," he said.

"We honestly were not expecting it but we were very happy to win."
