The World Heritage Site is famed as a peaceful place of pilgrimage, but in recent times it has become a movie set hosting Harry Potter and Marvel superheroes.

20 years since the first Harry Potter film was released in cinemas Durham Cathedral, one of the film locations, is celebrating the milestone.

A library in the town will take part in global events to celebrate the J.K Rowling book series.
