Sunderland fan Bradley Lowery, who is continuing his ongoing battle with cancer, will lead out the Everton team at Goodison Park on Sunday.

Bradley's story touched thousands over the festive period when more than 250,000 Christmas cards came flooding in to his home in Blackhall, County Durham. Bradley was Sunderland's mascot at their game with Everton last September.

Following the game Everton Football Club pledged a donation of £200,000 towards Bradley's treatment.

The news that the 5-year-old would lead out the Everton team against Manchester City was announced on his Twitter page.

Bradley's supporters said he is 'really excited' to be running out with the players on Sunday.

Bradley Lowery's mother has posted a picture on Facebook of her 5 year old son looking delighted to be onboard the Eurostar. Bradley is heading to Disneyland Paris for a family break. Clearly, travelling under the sea on a train is almost as exciting as the fun that's in store at Disneyland!

Bradley Lowery, 5, now has over 200,000 Christmas cards from members of the public.

His Christmas wish is to receive as many cards as possible - and people from all around the world responded.

The little boy from Sunderland has terminal cancer - and a campaign to get as many cards as possible sent to him in time for Christmas was started by an Everton fan.

Now 75,000 cards and gifts for Bradley

Royal Mail has confirmed that the total number of cards and gifts they are delivering to Bradley Lowery, 5, has now passed 75,000.

Bradley, from Blackhall in County Durham, has neuroblastoma, a rare form of childhood cancer.

Last week his parents received the devastating news that his tumor had grown and further treatment would no longer be effective.

His Christmas wish is to receive as many cards as possible and people from around the world responded.
