Gymnast Amy Tinkler given a 'champion' welcome home on open top bus tour
Hundreds braved the weather to welcome County Durham gymnast Amy Tinkler home as she travelled through Spennymoor and Bishop Auckland on an open top bus (SAT 3rd)
The teenager became only the second British woman in history to win a gymmnastics Olympic medal, after her performance on the floor in Rio this summer.
The 16 year old was joined by members of South Durham Gymnastics club for the celebrations.
