Emergency services attend building fire in centre of Stockton

Emergency services are at the scene of a fire in the centre of Stockton.

Crews were called out in the early hours of this morning to reports of a building fire. Prince Regent Street is closed from Yarm Lane to Dovecot Street.

The road is expected to remain closed for some time, according to Cleveland Police. Several fire appliances from nearby stations are in attendance.

People are urged to avoid the area.
