Middlesbrough FC have confirmed that Neil Warnock will continue as manager of the club and lead them into the 2020/21 season.

He was appointed in June, replacing Jonathan Woodgate, with the goal of keeping the club in the Championship and managed to guide his team to four wins in eight matches, meaning Boro avoided relegation.

The 71-year-old has been in charge of 17 clubs, including Middlesbrough, since making his managerial debut with Gainsborough trinity in 1980 and has taken teams to promotion eight times, most recently with Cardiff City in 2018.

Coaches Kevin Blackwell and Ronnie Jepson will also remain part of Warnock's management team.
