Man arrested after break-in at Newcastle fire station
A man has been arrested after a Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue station was broken into.
Thieves smashed their way into the West Denton station on Friday 26 April, before taking off with items.
The fire service's Chief Officer Chris Lowther took to social media to condemn those responsible, tweeting;
Northumbria Police say they arrested a man on suspicion of Burglary.
The man has now been released under investigation.
