Woman pulled from the sea on North Tyneside

A woman has been rescued from the sea at Cullercoats.

The Cullercoats Lifeboat crew were at the lifeboat station for a training day when a member of the public got in touch to say there was a woman in difficulty in Cullercoats Bay.

The crew found a dog walker pulling a woman from waters edge with the help of a crew member.

The Air Ambulance and North East Ambulance Service attended along with Northumbria Police and Tynemouth Volunteer Life Brigade.

The woman was taken to hospital for treatment.
