Metro 'trespasser' causes significant delays in Monkseaton

Police are looking for a man who they say caused 'significant delays' to the Metro transport system after trespassing on the tracks.

Officers were called to Monkseaton Metro Station at 11am on 29 July. When they arrived at the scene, the man had gone. Police are now circulating a CCTV image of a man they believe can help them with their investigation.

If anyone recognises the man or knows of his whereabouts, they're asked to contact Northumbria Police on 101 and quote reference number 452 29/07/17.
