Man in toy dinghy rescued after drifting out to sea
This is the moment a man was rescued from a toy dinghy, a mile off the coast of Redcar.
The dinghy, which was too small for the man, had drifted out to sea in the wind and tide.
The Redcar inshore lifeboat was launched after a man was seen drifting in a toy dinghy towards the Teesside Wind Farm at Redcar this evening, July 31.
The rescue team have warned that if a member of the public had not alerted the coastguard, the man's life would have been in danger.
After boarding the lifeboat and returning to the beach, a coastguard team gave him sea safety advice.
