Tinie Tempah to make North East return for Marina Live
Multi-platinum-selling rapper Tinie Tempah has announced a return to the North East for Marina Live.
In another huge coup for the area, the chart-topper is this time to appear at Hartlepool Marina on July 30. It comes three years after Tinie last performed in the area, when he took the the TFM Soundworks stage in Middlesbrough.
The music star shot to prominence in 2010 when his debut single Pass Out hit number one. A raft of further hits followed, along with awards including two BRITs, Best Newcomer at the MOBOs and an Ivor Novello for Best Contemporary Song. Tinie made a sensational return last summer with the release of Jess Glynne collaboration Not Letting Go, which became his sixth UK number one, swiftly followed by his seventh, KDAs Turn The Music Louder (Rumble) together with Katy B.
He's set to release his third album, Youth, next month, which is already packed with hits including Girls Like, Mamacita and Not Letting Go.
Tinie will be supported on stage in Hartlepool by a yet-to-be-announced special guest, as well as by local talents, Hartlepool sisters Liv 'n' G, Billingham artist Ty Lewis and Teesside’s songstress Abi Alton.
