Protestors have disrupted the elite men’s road race at the UCI Cycling World Championships in Scotland.

More than 8,000 cyclists and para-cyclists from 120 countries are expected to take part in the 10-day event.

The UCI Cycling World Championships is being held between 3-13 August.

The 250-mile Kirkpatrick C2C will take riders across the South of Scotland from Stranraer to Eyemouth when it is officially launched in the Summer.
