This comes as part of VisitScotland's plans to change its service that will see 39 out of 65 centres close across Scotland.

The new 40-foot-high swing can carry up to three people at a time and is considered to be the highest 3G swing in Scotland.

A B&B and holiday cottages in Stranraer have received 4-star ratings from Visit Scotland. Owners hope this will boost tourism to the area.
