Syrian Refugee

A refugee whose family escaped the war in Syria is hoping to rebuild his country thanks to teachers in the South East.

Ibrahim Awad came to England in 2015 with little money and belongings. After five years of living in the country, the father-of-three set up a shop in Kent.

Dr Ryad Alsous came to the UK in 2013 after fleeing civil war. He's now helping hundreds of other refugees find a sense of purpose through beekeeping.
