59 year old David Burrows was riding his bike to work in December 2023 when he was hit by a car and the motorist left the scene

Peter Langley, 33 and of Clipsley Lane, has now been charged with his murder and has appeared at South Sefton Magistrates Court.

The 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent.
