A surplus of octopuses have been populating Guernsey waters, fishermen and women are struggling to keep up with the amount of them.

The mystery animals were Gooseneck barnacles - a favourite delicacy of David Beckham, and worth a small fortune in some parts of the world.

Organisers of the Dorset Seafood Festival, which was Weymouth's biggest event, say they had to make the difficult decision.
