Three tiny kittens were pulled to safety after they were discovered living in a skip in Galashiels.
The driver of the bus – Wednesday’s 5.20pm Edinburgh to Dumfries 102 Stagecoach service – found the bird when the vehicle arrived at its destination.
Some of the dogs were roaming loose, near the A68 at Jedburgh, while others had been shut inside a derelict building.
