Giant iguana rescued from Borders lay-by

A giant iguana has been found in a lay-by in the Borders on the A702.

The Scottish SPCA was called out on Tuesday 12 September to rescue the animal.

The charity was alerted after the iguana was found by a member of the public.

The lizard, now named Iggy, is being cared for in Lanarkshire until a new home can be found for him.
