The Government of Jersey has also announced it will freeze the recruitment of all new civil servants who would earn more than £66,000.

Nearly one in five jobs in Jersey's health department are currently unfilled, with more than 500 positions currently vacant.

Business leaders say the law has lead to difficulties with recruitment, something the government disputes.
