Prince Edward

Edward, the youngest child of Queen Elizabeth II, has also been appointed to the Order of the Thistle - the highest honour in Scotland.

Prince Edward visited the venue's Cockpit theatre, the only 17th-century style timber theatre outside London.

Charles conferred the title on the former Earl of Wessex in celebration of Edward’s 59th birthday on Friday.
