The mystery of a message in a bottle found at Jersey's Elizabeth Castle after almost 60 years has been solved following a public appeal for information.

It follows a string of similar sightings across the UK and the US in recent years.

A note dated February 1966 and addressed to the world's most famous fictional spy James Bond has been found behind a bricked-up fireplace at a Jersey castle.
