Mud

Fire crews were called to Somerset Street in Bristol on the evening of 12 August after three people got stuck in the mud of the River Avon. They rescued two casualties and a third made their own way to safety.

Pictures show the cow nearly completely submerged in the mud, with only its neck sticking out.

Beach rescue teams in North Somerset are warning people of the dangers of the sea after taking part in a number of rescues at the weekend.
