Milk Prices

The rise is down to several factors including the upkeep of Guernsey Dairy and farmers needing a higher markup to offset the drop in direct government support.

They're expecting a loss of more than £500,000 this year, despite wholesale milk prices going up later this month.

The cost of a litre of milk in Jersey is set to rise after wholesale costs went up by 15p per litre from Monday 9 January.
