Emergency services have extinguished the fire that started on the M5 near Evesham on Thursday morning.

Motorway blocked and long delays after lorry fire 

Four fire engines were sent to the scene on the M2 between Chatham and Rochester.

The M5 northbound is fully closed between J31 and J30 and the M5 southbound has re-opened but with two lanes closed.

Long queues of traffic have been reported as both lanes of the Northbound carriageway between Tickencote and Stretton Junctions were closed.

Traffic was at a standstill for several hours. 

The fire was on the A303 between South Petherton and Ilminster.
