Jake Day had been fighting for his life in hospital since being hit by a Mini Cooper in Heckmondwike on 23 February.

Police believe he had been involved in a row with a number of people shortly beforehand.

West Yorkshire Police have started a murder investigation after a 51-year-old man was killed in a suspected hit and run in Kirklees last night.
