Global Warming

This year is “virtually certain” to be the world’s hottest on record, with temperatures more than 1.5C above pre-industrial times for the first time.

People in the UK are increasingly exposed to dangerous extreme heat, as global health threats of climate change reach record-breaking levels, experts warn.

The goal, which was laid out in the 2015 Paris Agreement, is to limit human-caused warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius since pre-industrial times.
