The president of a local heritage group say plans for a multi-million pound upgrade of the ferry terminal in St Malo threaten the town's identity.

There is confusion over whether Condor Ferries or Brittany Ferries will sign contracts with Jersey and Guernsey after the islands receive contradictory offers.

Jersey Minister Deputy Kirsten Morel has outlined a new process for deciding on a ferry operator for the island and concerns over Condor Ferries' finances.
