Britains Oldest Man

John Tinniswood died at the care home in Southport where he lived on Monday 25 November, "surrounded by music and love", his family said.

John Tinniswood was paid a "surprise visit" by the Guinness World Records after he was given the title following the death of the previous recipient.

Bob Weighton, who was born in Hull but now lives in Hampshire, called himself one of "life's survivors"
