A woman who was killed when a building collapsed on her car in central London was today named by police as Julie Sillitoe, 49, a minicab driver from north London.
Woman killed by falling masonry was minicab driver
A woman who was killed when a building collapsed on her car in central London was a minicab driver, police said.
The 49-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene, opposite Holborn Underground station.Her passengers, a 25-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman, are being treated in hospital.
Next of kin have been informed but formal identification has yet to take place.
The male passenger, who was trapped in the car, suffered leg injuries. The female passenger managed to free herself from the rear of the vehicle. Their injuries are not life-threatening, police said.
A fourth person, believed to be a male passer-by, was also injured and taken to hospital, London Ambulance Service (LAS) said.

A woman died after part of a building collapsed onto the car she was driving, the Met Police said in a statement. Officers were called at 11pm last night to reports of the building collapse on High Holborn, opposite Holborn Tube Station, in central London.
Police, London Ambulance Service and London Fire Brigade attended the scene. A front portion of the building had collapsed onto a Skodia Octavia car, the statement added.
Three people were inside the car. The 49 year old female driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Next of kin have been informed.
The other two occupants were sat in the rear of the car. A 25 year old man and a 24 year old woman have been taken to hospital.
They are not in life threatening conditions. Police said the road remains closed.

Building 'concrete fascia' collapsed on car
London Fire Brigade said the concrete fascia of the building collapsed on to the car, which was in Kingsway. Around 20 firefighters helped with the rescue, freeing the trapped pair from the car.
A spokesman said: "Another woman travelling in the car managed to get out of the vehicle before the brigade arrived.
"Around 10 people were evacuated from nearby buildings as a precaution."

Paramedics treated four patients, and despite best efforts at trying to resuscitate her - one woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
A man in his mid-20s was taken to Royal London Hospital with leg injuries.
