Third arrest over Bicester attempted murder as police launch vehicle hunt
Officers investigating the attempted murder of a man in Bicester have made a further arrest.
A 34-year-old man from Upper Arncott was arrested yesterday (2/1) on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in police custody at this time.
Two other men, aged 18 and 30, and both from Bicester, who were previously arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, have since been released on conditional police bail.
The arrest relates to an incident that occurred in Bicester shopping park, near the Pure Gym, just after 5pm on Sunday (December 29).
A man, aged in his thirties. was stabbed a number of times, remains in a serious but stable condition in hospital.
The force is now releasing an image of a car officers are trying to locate in connection with the offence.
The vehicle is a black Volvo with a partial registration number CN69.
Detective Inspector George Atkinson from CID, said: “We have now made a number of arrests in connection with this incident, and we remain confident that there is no wider risk to the local community and that the victim and offenders are known to each other."
“The victim is recovering in hospital and his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening."
“I am today releasing this image of a car that we believe was used in connection with this incident."
“We believe the vehicle may now be out of the force area, potentially in the Kent or London area."
