Five vehicles collide on M3 motorway as drivers warned of delays

Five vehicles were involved in a crash on the M3 in Hampshire.

The collision happened between Junction 12 and Junction 13 near Eastleigh on the southbound carriageway.

National Highways reported the incident at around 1:40pm on Saturday afternoon.

Two out of three lanes were shut as officers and recovery workers removed the damaged vehicles.

The damage was cleared by 3:00pm.

Hampshire Police said in a statement,

"We were called at 1.20pm to the M3 in Eastleigh following reports of a multi-vehicle collision on the southbound carriageway between junctions 11 and 12.

“Minor injuries have been reported to us and officers are at the scene."
