Police search remote countryside in hunt for missing mother-of-two
Police officers in forensic overalls have been seen scouring the countryside near Hastings, in the search for a missing mother of two.
Alexandra Morgan, 34, from Sissinghurst in Kent was last seen at a petrol station on the morning of Sunday, 14 November, close to her home.
She hasn't been in contact with her family since.
On Tuesday, Kent Police confirmed they had recovered Ms Morgan’s white Mini Cooper and were no longer asking for help finding it.
Officers with sniffer dogs and long poles have been seen searching fields on Rock Lane close to the village of Three Oaks, in the countryside to the north east of Hastings, East Sussex.
Local residents have been told to expect to see a large police presence in the area for some time.
40-year-old Mark Brown of Squirrel Close, St Leonards-on-Sea, appeared at Lewes Crown Court on Tuesday, 30 November, charged with the murder of Alexandra Morgan.
He was remanded in custody to appear at the same court in May 2022.
Detective Chief Inspector Neil Kimber, of the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate, said: ‘While a man has been charged, the investigation continues and we remain keen to hear from anyone who may have information which can assist with our enquiries.’
