NHS workers being encouraged to look after their own health too
NHS workers across the south are being encouraged to take better care of their physical and mental wellbeing.
It part of a new campaign being launched by the team behind the Great South Run. They have decided to act on findings that suggest many who work in hospitals - and with other healthcare providers - spend so much time taking care of patients they often neglect themselves.
The special fitness programme is supporting staff to get active and, as the Great South Run celebrates its 30th year in October, there will be a special 5k run dedicated to NHS staff in Portsmouth.
