Shocking video shows M3 driver crashing into barrier

A drink driver has been jailed for 15 months for crashing into a barrier on the M3 and then running across the motorway to escape arrest.

30 year old, Brett Gilham, from Telford in the Midlands, drove his VW Golf into roadworks before crashing into concrete barriers on the M3 at Chobham in Surrey in April 2017. After running across five lanes of moving traffic, he collapsed on the embankment and was later arrested by officers.

He pleaded guilty to the offences of dangerous driving, drink driving, driving while disqualified and driving without insurance.
