M40 crash referred to the police watchdog
A crash on the M40 that claimed the lives of three people has been referred to the police watchdog.
A Subaru towing a caravan was travelling in the wrong direction when it collided with a Ford Mondeo.
The driver and passenger of the Subaru in their 80s both died. The Mondeo driver was also killed. He's been named as Stuart Richards who was 32 and from Stockport in Cheshire.
The crash has been referred to the IOPC - the Independent Office for Police Conduct - as the Subaru had been involved in another crash days earlier.
