A campaign is underway to restore the memorial for a world war one hero whose body was never recovered.

Pat Owtram saved countless lives and helped turn the tide in favour of the Allies.

The records were found in boxes on Uboat U-534 which forms the U-boat story museum in Birkenhead, Wirral
