How Manchester will mark one year anniversary of Arena attack

Plans have been outlined on how Manchester will commemorate the first anniversary of the Arena Terror Attack in May.

There'll be a special service at the Cathedral, a minute's silence during the Great Manchester Run, and Trees of Hope where people can leave personal messages.

The chief Constable of Greater Manchester has revealed that some of his officers had only been in the force a matter of days on the night of the Manchester Arena attack and had never attended a death.

Many police and medics who tended the dying and injured following the Manchester Arena blast are still suffering the emotional after-effects of what they saw.

It's 100 days since the terror attack at the Manchester Arena which claimed the lives of 22 men, women and children.

In the 3 months since, the police have made a number of arrests, spoken to hundreds of people and trawled through hours and hours of CCTV footage.

Greater Manchester's Chief Constable, Ian Hopkins, says it's vital the investigation is carried out in a methodical way.

One hundred days ago tomorrow a bomb at the Manchester Arena killed 22 people and injured many more. A terrorist detonated the device in the foyer as thousands of children and parents left the Ariana Grande concert.

Many of those who were at the Arena that night have been sharing their experiences with exclusively ITV, ahead of a special programme tonight.
