North West Royal visit
The Queen and Prince Philip will continue their tour of the North West today, visiting Liverpool and Chester. They will take a boat trip around Liverpool's docks, as well as going to Chester Zoo.

The Queens tour of Cheshire and Merseyside
It's been an action packed day for the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh in the North West.
They've continued their Royal Jubilee Tour today with visits to Cheshire and Merseyside.
The itinery included seeing the animals at Chester Zoo. And they made a big splash on Merseyside when they boarded the yellow 'duckmarine' at Liverpool's Albert Dock. Our reporter Amy Welch was there.

Hundreds lined up to see the Queen as she took a duck tour in Liverpool. Witnesses claimed Her Majesty let out a whoop as it splashed into the water. See the pictures here.

The Queen unveils plaque at Chester Zoo
The Queen has made her first visit to Chester Zoo. She was accompanied by the Duke of Edinburgh as part of their visit to the North West.
The Queen, who was wearing a coral dress and coat by Stewart Parvin and a matching hat by Rachel Trevor-Morgan, arrived to cheers from hundreds of well-wishers.
After waving to the crowd, the Queen unveiled a plaque at the new £2m entrance and gateway of the zoo - named the Diamond Jubilee Quarter - before meeting dignitaries. She was greeted by various dance groups and members of the public who all applauded as she walked through the new gates.
The Queen and the Duke were then taken on a monorail tour of the zoo. They then split up as the Queen was taken to see the rhino paddock while the Duke was taken to see the elephants.

The Queen arrives in Chester
The Queen has arrived at Chester Zoo as part of her Diamond Jubilee tour to celebrate 60 years on the throne accompanied by The Duke of Edinburgh.
They will unveil a plaque at the new entrance - named the Diamond Jubilee Quarter - and then take a tour by monorail.
Afterwards, the Queen will view the rhino paddock while The Duke of Edinburgh will be taken to see the zoo's elephants.
They will then move on to Warrington, Cheshire, to officially open Orford Jubilee Park.
