Rare Lowry paintings go on display in Hale art gallery

Yes, at one time they both bought paintings by the one and only L.S. Lowry.

An exhibition of the Salford artist's work is currently on display at a small gallery in Hale near Altrincham. Also on display is work by Lowry's teacher Adolphe Vallete. He was French and taught Lowry at the Manchester School of Art in 1905.And as Paul Crone reports, you may need a large bank loan to get yourself a little bit of Lowry.
