Police involvement to be considered in Abbotswood investigations
An inspection of a care home in the Isle of Man has been suspended to allow the Island's police to look into the matter.
The independent investigator has referred its findings to the police to assess whether 'potential offences' have been made.
Abbotswood Care Home had its license suspended by the Isle of Man Government after 47 of the 52 residents tested positive for coronavirus.
20 of those have since died from the virus.
The remaining residents have been moved out of the home after the government took over management of the faciltiy last month.
All investigations led by the Department for Health and Social Care that had been underway at Abbotswood have been halted.
