More than 60 fire fighters tackle huge fire at Bolton industrial estate

Over 60 fire fighters from across Greater Manchester have been tackling a huge fire involving a number of single-storey industrial units in the Westhoughton area of Bolton.

Crews were called at around 9pm on Tuesday 9 June, to reports of a fire at a commercial garage on James Street.

Greater Manchester Fire & Rescue Service says the smoke plume has now reduced, but residents should keep all windows and doors closed and stay away from the area while emergency services remain at the scene.

Road closures remain in place, with Church Street closed between Wellington Street and Bampton Close.
