High rise residents call on government to make homes safe after second fire in three years

Residents of high rise flats are calling on the Government to act now to make sure their homes are safe.

People living in The Lighthouse complex in Manchester city centre, which has wooden balconies and unsafe cladding, had to evacuate the building last weekend after the second serious fire there in three years.

Now, there's uncertainty about who's going to pay for the dangerous features to be removed.
