Man arrested and tasered after four people injured in stabbing in Manchester city centre

A man's been arrested after four people were injured in a stabbing in Manchester City Centre.

Police were called to Market Street at around 6.20pm on Sunday 12 January.

One of the people injured was taken to hospital.

A 30 year old man has been arrested on suspicion of serious assault. A taser was deployed during the arrest.

Greater Manchester Police say the incident is isolated, and there is no threat to the wider public.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, or has footage or information is urged to contact police.

Manchester City Councillor, Pat Karney, has tweeted to say that it was a "feud" between rough sleepers.
